
Zero Waste — Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repair, Recycle

• Promoted the benefits of using gifting apps to keep usable items out of landfills
• Saratoga Recycles Day kept 13.5 tons out of landfills
• Held the first-ever Paint Collection and Recycling Day and kept 60,000 pounds of paint out of landfills
• Taught five workshops to help adults and kids learn about composting
• Held two Repair Cafes in collaboration with the Saratoga Springs Public Library
• Held Team up to Clean up events all over the Saratoga area

Urban Forestry Project — Tree Planting and Preservation

• Our Urban Forestry project proposal to the Saratoga Springs Participatory Budgeting program was funded for 2023
• Provided information and advice for homeowners about the spongy moth infestation
• Tree Toga 11 added a whopping 53 trees to our urban canopy

Land Use Advocacy — Protecting the Environment

• Continued to advocate for affordable housing
• Advocated for a comprehensive development plan for High Rock Park, including Flat Rock Park
• Weighed in on Liberty Affording Housing, Inc. request for a zoning amendment

Climate & Energy — Addressing the Climate Crisis

• Advocated for Union Avenue Enhancements, including bike lanes
• Supported the Clean Water, Clean Air, Green Jobs environmental bond act
• Highlighted four ways to take advantage of the IRA
• Held a successful EV Car and Bike Show

Pollinator Initiative — Protect & Create Safe Habitat

• Advised on pollinator friendlier alternatives to traditional lawns
• Held the first Pollinator Palooza native plant sale
• Inspired local residents and municipalities to embrace No Mow May
