ADVOCACY ISSUES – UDO UPDATE!

The Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) review process continues to move forward. Sustainable Saratoga continues to advocate for the changes that we feel are necessary to carry out the vision of the 2015 Comprehensive Plan.

The City Council held four workshops over the summer to discuss the UDO. The workshops were recorded (find them here). You can read our public comments made at the first, second, third and fourth workshops.

NEXT STEPS:
  • September 21: Final UDO released
  • October 5: Public Hearing
  • October 19: Public Hearing
  • November 16: Council vote
Citizens interested in the draft UDO and the possible land use changes in the city that could result are encouraged to attend any of the upcoming public hearings.

Want to know more? You can find the UDO final draft, public comments, workshop videos, advisory opinions, and lots of other information on the City’s UDO webpage. You can also view to our list of 12 priority amendments that we feel must be included in the final UDO and a document summarizing the key concepts of the Comprehensive Plan as it relates to the Greenbelt and rural character. You can find a full list of our advocacy actions relating to the UDO on our Land Use webpage.
