ADVOCACY ISSUES – UDO UPDATE!

(updates & action items that need your support)

Update on the UDO: On Tuesday, May 4, the Saratoga Springs City Council voted 4-1 (with Commissioner Dalton voting no) to proceed with the formal review of the proposed zoning ordinance (the UDO).
On May 20, we submitted comments to the Planning Board and the Design Review Commission, outlying where we believe the UDO is inconsistent with the Comprehensive Plan.
We remain committed to advocating for additional sustainability provisions and compliance with the Comprehensive Plan’s vision for the City, and have developed a short list of 12 amendments we feel must be included in the UDO.
We will continue to keep you updated on the status of the UDO as well as our advocacy efforts.
