SUSTAINABLE SARATOGA SUPPORTS MIXED-USE
DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR HIGH ROCK PARKING LOT
Saratoga Springs, NY – January 19, 2016 – Sustainable Saratoga has long advocated for a mixed-use development plan for the High Rock parking lot. Optimally, the city would pursue a managed parking plan in conjunction with the creation of any additional parking projects.
Local elections are taking place Tuesday, November 3. Be sure to go vote for a more sustainable Saratoga!
A solar park proposed by Sustainable Saratoga for the former Weibel Ave. landfill has received state funding, according to Finance Commissioner Michele Madigan. The project, which will be developed on the city-owned landfill by contractor SunEdison, will provide a large proportion of the city’s power needs. Madigan

In December 2014, the Saratoga Springs Planning Board determined that the Parking Garage will not have any significant adverse environmental impacts under SEQRA and the plan is now before the Zoning Board to seek additional variances to move forward.
