Board of Directors
Amy Durland | Chair
Having a background in human services policy in Massachusetts and New York, in recent years I’ve focused on environmental issues, as an advocate, city official, and supporter. I’ve lived in Saratoga Springs since 1988, and was drawn to its “city in the country” appeal – a vibrant downtown surrounded by a greenbelt of rural character. I have a law degree and a Masters degree in Psychology. I served on the Saratoga Springs Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals for 12 years, as well as a number of other city committees. I’ve been active with Sustainable Saratoga almost from its inception, and have served as the Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors, Chair of its Governance Committee, and Chair of its Land Use Committee. It’s my privilege to be the Board Chair starting in 2024. I’m a runner, a vegan, an avid reader, a nature and animal lover, I appreciate all music and old movies, and I enjoy traveling with my husband (a baseball writer).
