Elaine McArdle
I’m a longtime journalist and book author who has written on a wide variety of issues, including climate change and climate justice, for the Boston Globe, Boston Magazine, Harvard Law Bulletin, UU World, and many other publications. A graduate of Centenary College of Louisiana and Vanderbilt University Law School, I’ve lived in Australia and all over the U.S., including many years in Boston and Portland, Oregon. I now live in Saratoga Springs with my husband Jack. I love spending time with family & friends, yoga, and walking all over our beautiful little city.
How long have you lived in the area and what do you love about Saratoga?
I’ve lived here three years and love how friendly people are, and how pretty our “city in the country” is, including all the green space.
What is your interest/passion related to sustainability?
I’m deeply interested in maintaining the beauty of the natural world amidst an onslaught of serious challenges including global climate change and all it brings.
Where is your favorite local place to connect with nature?
I love walking through Congress Park and throughout the city in every season!
