Board of Directors

Jeff Buxbaum

I moved to Saratoga Springs in late 2023 from Boston with my wife Susan, who returned to where she grew up.  I chair the Sustainable Saratoga Land Use Committee, and also volunteer doing food deliveries for Lifeworks Community Action.

I was a transportation planning consultant for 34 years, working primarily with federal, state, and local agencies planning highway and transit projects.  My focus was on effective ways to fund and finance transportation projects.

Upon retiring in 2015, I took on several volunteer roles in and around my home in Medford, Massachusetts, including being President of the Friends of the Middlesex Fells Reservation–a conservation and education organization; a founding member of WalkMedford–a walking advocacy organization; and Food Link–a food rescue organization.

I’m looking forward to hiking the Adirondacks, bike riding and cross country skiing when the conditions allow, and continuing to participate with the local pickleball scene.  I also love transforming humble food into tasty meals.
