SUMMARY:Composting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Composting is an amazing\, natural process that almost anyone can do at home! It’s also one of the best ways you can help fight climate change! Come to our composting workshop at Hudson Crossing Park Sunday\, May 19 at 10am. Bring the family and enjoy the gardens at the park. \nThis workshop will be led by Jennifer Armstrong. \nJennifer Armstrong has been gardening since childhood. Making compost for the garden has always been a strong motivation\, and now keeping food waste out of the landfill is an additional motivation. She is the Chair of Sustainable Saratoga’s Compost Committee\, and has led numerous workshops in the area to help people get started with composting – whether they want the end product for their garden or not. \nThis composting workshop is co-sponsored by Hudson Crossing\, Climate Smart Schuylerville and Sustainable Saratoga. \nSustainable Saratoga is a not-for-profit organization that promotes sustainable practices and the protection of natural resources\, through education\, advocacy and action\, for the benefit of current and future generations in the Saratoga Springs area. The organization’s projects and events focus on 5 categories within sustainability: zero waste\, urban forestry\, pollinators\, land use\, and climate and energy.
